JANET STEINBERG, OFFICIAL BLOGGER FOR THE TRAVEL AUTHORITY, WINS HER 48th AND 49TH TRAVEL WRITING AWARDS
BY THE TRAVEL AUTHORITY
On October 15th, at its first-ever virtual 2020 Mark Twain Awards Ceremony, the Midwest Travel Journalists Association presented Janet Steinberg with its First Place Award in The Travel Blog Category. Of her First Place award-winning blog the judge commented: “This blog is a delightful collection of destinations. Especially appealing was “People Who Need People”, written from the perspective of a world health crisis.”
On October 16th, at its virtual 2020 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Awards Ceremony, the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) presented Janet Steinberg with its Silver Award in the Travel Blog Category. Of her Silver award-winning blog the judge commented: “The opening page is simple and organized, and the writing is inviting. The subject matter is original and specific, for example, “Searching for Sensational Sculpture”, and not restrictive by place or experience. The author uses first person to deliver useful information while sharing personal information. The result is a blog that encourages its audience to act – travel and reflect – by demonstrating how.”
Steinberg’s latest awards brings her total number of travel writing awards to 49…including: 4 Lowell Thomas Awards; Cipriani Award for Best Overall Writer of the Year; Henry E. Bradshaw Award for Best of Show in All Categories; Ohio Buckeye Travel Award; 17 Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) Awards; 23 Midwest Travel Writers Association Awards (MTWA) and 2 Midwest Travel Journalist Association Awards (MTJA).
JANET STEINBERG RESIDES IN CINCINNATI BUT CALLS THE WORLD HER HOME.
